Thank you for dropping by! My name is Jackie Leon Bush. I live in a beautiful, small coastal town in New Zealand with my husband and two sons.
From a young age I had this overwhelming feeling of needing to learn as much as I could about death. I would have very vivid dreams about dying and would become very distressed every time anyone we knew or if one of my beloved pets died. Hearing about the deaths of people I did not know was also very distressing. I felt that if I could learn as much as I could about death, then I could overcome my fear of death.
Almost 30 years down the road, here I am, a death doula in training and trying to do my bit to help people overcome the fear of death and remove the taboos around speaking about death, dying, and grief.
